About

I was born in Rangoon, Burma and spent my childhood in Kolkata and Delhi, India. I grew up in an environment of cultural togetherness as my father was the director of the Goethe Institute. I moved to Europe when I was ten years old

I discovered dance at the age of fourteen. After a career in ballet in Hamburg, Zurich and Stuttgart, I made my way into the independent scene.

With an osteopath I ran a joint practice for manual and movement therapy in London. This also increasingly influenced my teaching work. I also ran a Yoga/Movement Environment Studio in Wimbledon, London.

I worked in various collectives, developed my own artistic work and appeared as a performer with Fin Walker at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London.

In 2006 I moved to India, where I lived and worked until 2011. In addition to my creative work I taught, was a mentor for young dance makers and sought collaboration with various Indian artists.

Since 2011 I live and work in Bern. Together with my wife Sunita Asnani, I develop work that blurs the roles of spectator and performer - artistic processes that promote innovation and lateral thinking across all disciplines. We are also active in the business start-up and innovation scene. You can find more information here

In addition to teaching dance professionals and yoga classes, I also guide people in individual sessions , where both Scaravelli yoga, movement and meditative strength training provide a focus - the body between gravity and anti-gravity.
