As a dancer, Yoga has been with me all my life. For me, Yoga is movement, not something rigid. It is more than a method - a living entity - a Yoga for the human being. Fascia is the heart of my practice. I have been offering Yoga classes in Bern for many years.

YOGA COURSES IN BERNE

FascialBody Basics - the embodiment of fascia
3-part course

Fasciae are the third brain of the body, highly sensitive and deeply networked.

Following on from the last series, which was designed more as a general introduction to the world of fascia and leaned more towards the tutorial format, this series focuses on the practical aspect of feeling and moving with fascia.

It's called Basics because I want to share with you the applications and exercises that most directly contribute to translating the knowledge and research around fascia into a practical application. How can we bring freedom of movement, connection, resilience and elastic rebound to the body? However you apply this, be it in your daily life, in your work with clients or in whatever way you practice/train, you will take away an embodied understanding of this.

We start each session with a short introduction to the topic and then spend most of the time practicing and embodying these principles.

Dates:
24 May: Core - the fascial abdomen and spine.
31 May: Rebound - elastic traces
7 June: Fascial resilience - breath, ligaments and tendons. June: Fascial resilience - breath, ligaments and tendons
Time: 6-8 pm
Price: CHF 75 per module, CHF 195 for all three
Location: Atelier Créarte, Mühlenplatz 15, Bern

It is important to me that you can participate regardless of your financial situation. Reduced prices are possible.

BodyWideWeb - Yoga and the elastic body

A dynamic body laboratory - summer course 2024

The fascial body: How can the flood of new findings in fascial research be translated into the body in a simple way? We test this through practical approaches and exercises. This is where the body reveals its fluid intelligence to us. We glide from stillness into movement

What is modern yoga? Does it exist? And what is traditional yoga? Through the filter of fascia, we dive into the body lab of the Body-Wide-Web, the fascial network of our body. We explore some approaches that turn the linear model of yoga on its head without overturning it - on the contrary, these lines allow us to experience the body as a fluid pump, in the way that is common to all energetic Eastern traditions.

5 sessions of 3 hours each.
Costs: Normal 480 CHF / For enthusiasts 520 CHF / Reduced price 440 CHF
Earlybird until May 31st: 40 CHF for free.
Single days possible for those who have already worked with Chris.
Price per morning: 95 -110 CHF(pay as you can).

Language: German or English

  • Fascia Yoga is a holistic journey of discovery, a body laboratory where you can deeply experience yourself and where your own limits are respected and appreciated.

    Celine - clerk, therapist position

  • I enjoy the humor and the precise instructions in the lessons. I marvel at how deep in the body the instructions feel, invigorating and experiential ("aha").

    Christine - Yoga teacher

  • I get to know my body anew (or get to know it at all?). I dive in like into the sea and am further and further away from the surface. The deeper I dive, the calmer and quieter it becomes around me.

    Isabelle - Yoga teacher

  • Chris has a deeply compassionate heart that makes me feel good in every exercise I do and want to offer my best.

    Annette yoga teacher

  • For the body, everyday life, being alive, is inspiration and challenge at the same time. My fascia yoga courses act like a time-out, like a pit stop in Formula One, where we experience a fine-tuning in deceleration.

Fascia Yoga works not only on a physical level, but also mentally and emotionally. The targeted exercises not only improve flexibility and release tension, but also promote body awareness and mindfulness.

This can lead to an increased sense of well-being and a deeper connection to your body. The gentle practice of Fascia Yoga can also reduce stress and promote an inner calm, leading to a holistic balance of body and mind.

    More about Fascia Yoga.

  • My classes are for "Every Body". Regardless of your age or physical condition, the focus is on the fascial body. The classes are for people of all ages and fitness levels. From beginners to participants with years of yoga experience, everyone is welcome.

What makes Fascia Yoga special is its inclusive nature. It is not about meeting certain physical standards, but rather about recognizing and respecting the individual needs and limitations of your own body.

Through targeted exercises that target fascial structures, you can experience improved flexibility, increased range of motion and relief from tension.

    More about Fascia Yoga.

  • My classes are suitable for anyone who wants a deeper connection to their own body. I am less concerned with body "mastery" and much more with what the body shows us when we listen to it and allow it space. Fascia Yoga not only improves flexibility and releases tension, but also promotes body awareness and mindfulness.

Whether you're new to the world of yoga or have been on a long yoga journey, my classes provide a warm and supportive environment in which to find your own path in fascia yoga.
